# SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC): how to check and use it before it expires

*Julian Wong — Content Strategist*

## Summary

- Check whether your company was auto-qualified for SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit, and use the balance before 30 November 2026.

- Singapore's MTI says about 40,000 firms, roughly half of those eligible, still hold unused SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit.

- SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit only tops up what's left after a base grant, capped at SG$7,000.

- Get a Productivity Solutions Grant quote and submit the application before signing or paying anything.

- A positive balance with time before 30 November 2026 means stacking both schemes now.

Your company might be sitting on SG$10,000 it has never touched. Enterprise Singapore automatically credited eligible employers with **SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit** back in 2020 and 2022, and government figures show about half of those firms are yet to draw on it.

That balance has a shelf life. Unused credit is forfeited on 30 November 2026, and the scheme replacing it works differently: an online wallet spent upfront, ahead of the cost, rather than claimed back afterwards.

This guide covers who qualifies, where to check your balance, what the credit actually pays for, and how it combines with the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) before it runs out.

## **Does my company actually have SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit?**

**SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit** (SFEC) is a one-off SG$10,000 credit that Enterprise Singapore issued automatically to qualifying employers, covering up to 90% of the out-of-pocket cost of approved enterprise and workforce transformation programmes. No application was needed to receive it, but using it before the current round expires does take action.

### **Who was auto-qualified**

You were auto-qualified if your business met one of two windows, summarised below. A business that already qualified in an earlier window doesn't qualify again in a later one, and being in default on SDL payments or having an inactive ACRA status during the window rules a company out of both. If your business is qualifies, Enterprise Singapore will automatically notify you via an email sent to the registered CorpPass Administrator.

| **Qualifying round** | **Period** | **SDL contribution** | **Staff headcount** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Budget 2020 round | Apr 2019 to Dec 2020 | SG$750 or more | 3 or more Citizen/PR staff monthly |
| Budget 2022 expansion | Jan 2021 to Dec 2021 | Not required | 3 or more Citizen/PR staff monthly |

### **Where to check your balance**

Log in to the[ Business Grants Portal](https://www.businessgrants.gov.sg/) or SkillsFuture for Business with your CorpPass to see your **SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit** balance. Eligible employers were notified by email at their registered CorpPass Administrator address when the credit was first granted, and no separate application unlocks it.

Two places show the same figure:

- The Business Grants Portal, under your enterprise's grant summary
- SkillsFuture for Business on GoBusiness, under funding and support

## **What happens if you don't use your SFEC credit in time?**

About[ 40,000 Singapore enterprises](https://www.mti.gov.sg/newsroom/written-reply-to-pq-on-utilisation-rates-of-skillsfuture-enterprise-credit--sfec--and-measures-to-encourage-sfec-use-before-expiry-in-2026), roughly half of those eligible, had drawn on their SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit as of November 2025, per Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry.

### **Unused credit expires 30 November 2026 and does not roll over**

Unused **SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit** expires on 30 November 2026, the date Enterprise Singapore confirms as the final claim deadline for the current SG$10,000 credit. Whatever balance remains after that date is forfeited outright, and it doesn't automatically convert into the scheme that follows it.

### **What replaces it: EWTP digital wallet from 1 December 2026**

From 1 December 2026, a redesigned SFEC issues each eligible employer a fresh SG$10,000 in an online wallet under the Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package (EWTP). The change is timing, not amount: employers draw on the wallet to support an approved cost upfront, instead of paying first and claiming reimbursement afterwards, a real cash flow difference for a small business fronting a five-figure bill.

## **What's actually eligible to claim under SFEC?**

![What to use SFEC for: workforce transformation or enterprise transformation such as PSG](https://images.ctfassets.net/tu2uwzoyozk8/7qA5YB9l2lRQuaUW3aIw0e/cda6418cdc2731024d6e5e69e62c76a1/pasted-image-2.png?fm=webp&q=75&w=1600)

### **Workforce transformation via SFEC-supportable training and courses**

SFEC covers up to 90% of out-of-pocket fees for courses aligned to a Skills Framework, plus Career Conversion Programmes, job redesign initiatives and workplace learning run through the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE). This pool isn't capped at SG$7,000.

### **Enterprise transformation costs via PSG/EDG-approved projects**

Enterprise transformation covers project grants such as PSG, EDG and Market Readiness Assistance, and SFEC's contribution here is capped at SG$7,000, whatever the size of the underlying project. SFEC only tops up a project that one of these base schemes has already approved; there's no SFEC claim without that approval first.

Software falls under this pool when it's bought through an approved PSG or EDG project. A customer engagement platform pre-approved under PSG, such as [SleekFlow's listing in the GenAI Customer Engagement Chatbot category](https://smesgodigital.gov.sg/web/solution/20250059/sleekflow), is one example.

### **What's excluded**

SFEC has no separate list of banned programmes; it simply excludes anything outside the base schemes it supports. A software purchase made **without going through PSG or EDG** first has no SFEC claim against it, and a course that isn't aligned to a Skills Framework or run under a named workforce programme doesn't qualify, however useful it is.

## **Can SFEC pay for a PSG solution directly?**

**SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit** can't buy software on its own. It only supports a cost already approved under a base grant, such as the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) or the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), covering up to 90% of whatever the company still owes after that base grant pays its share.

### **How PSG and SFEC combine**

![pasted\-image\-3\.png](https://images.ctfassets.net/tu2uwzoyozk8/56WRmk43fRXy6kNipvmou0/b3d9fb2cc346b1ffc275f1b825c7936e/pasted-image-3.png?fm=webp&q=75&w=1600)

PSG and SFEC apply in a fixed order, not both against the full project cost at once. PSG provides grant support of up to 50% of the qualifying cost first, and enterprises may use up to S$7,000 in SFEC to support up to 90% of whatever out-of-pocket cost remains.

[Eligibility for the PSG](https://sleekflow.io/en-sg/blog/psg-grant-singapore) itself is separate from SFEC:

- At least 30% local shareholding
- Annual turnover under SG$100 million, or fewer than 200 employees
- The solution deployed and used in Singapore

## **What do you need to claim SFEC after a PSG-approved purchase?**

![how to claim SFEC after PSG in 6 steps](https://images.ctfassets.net/tu2uwzoyozk8/7Jmt0Y0a6UZo1FO5MexyRW/2e5563b30d4dbf169912e9a80f0fe512/pasted-image-4.png?fm=webp&q=75&w=1600)

Claiming SFEC follows a fixed sequence: PSG approval first, then payment, then a documented claim.

1. **Apply for PSG through the Business Grants Portal before signing or paying anything.** A project that's already been paid for isn't eligible for PSG, which means there's no approved cost left for SFEC to top up either.
1. **Wait for your Letter of Offer, then sign and pay.** This sets your own claim deadline, checkable any time on the Business Grants Portal, and one extension is allowed before a grant automatically lapses.
1. **Gather your supporting documents.** Enterprise Singapore asks for straightforward proof the project actually happened: the vendor's invoice addressed to the company (not an individual), proof of full payment, and evidence the solution is live, such as onboarding confirmation, a usage screenshot or a short report.
1. **Submit your PSG claim with runway to spare.** PSG applications are processed in about 6 weeks once all required information is submitted, so apply with time before your preferred start date.
1. **File both claims before 30 November 2026, whatever your individual deadline says.** Your PSG claim and SFEC top-up both have to be filed by that date. After it, an unclaimed SFEC balance is gone regardless of where your PSG claim stands.

## **What should you do before the 30 November 2026 deadline?**

![SFEC checklist before 30 Nov](https://images.ctfassets.net/tu2uwzoyozk8/5c2ljuh4aYJTZuuafPBOf/2dfedf2235e94804576d295cdb743e2a/SFEC_checklist_before_30_nov.png?fm=webp&q=75&w=1600)

- Check your SFEC balance on the Business Grants Portal
- Get a PSG quote for the software or training you plan to buy, and confirm which PSG category it falls under
- Submit the PSG application before signing a contract or paying anything
- Plan your purchase timeline backward from 30 November 2026

Do these in order and there's no reason a positive balance should still be sitting unused when the credit resets.

### What is the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)?

SFEC is a one-off SG$10,000 credit Enterprise Singapore issued automatically to qualifying employers, covering up to 90% of eligible enterprise and workforce transformation costs. No application was needed to receive it, but using the balance before 30 November 2026 does require action from the company.

### How do I check if my company has unused SFEC?

Log in to the Business Grants Portal or SkillsFuture for Business using your CorpPass. Your SFEC balance appears under your enterprise's grant summary if your company was auto-qualified in the 2020 or 2021 rounds and hasn't fully used its credit yet.

### Can SFEC be used to buy software or tools directly?

No. SFEC only tops up an out-of-pocket cost that a base scheme like PSG or EDG has already approved, up to 90% of that remaining amount and capped at SG$7,000 for enterprise transformation. Without a PSG or EDG approval in place first, there's nothing for SFEC to top up.

### What is the deadline to use the current SFEC?

Unused SFEC expires on 30 November 2026, per Enterprise Singapore's current SFEC page and FAQ. Any balance not claimed by that date is forfeited and does not carry over into the redesigned scheme.

### What happens to SFEC after November 2026?

From 1 December 2026, a redesigned SFEC issues a fresh SG$10,000 to each eligible employer through an online wallet under the Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package. Employers draw on that wallet to offset approved costs upfront, rather than paying first and claiming reimbursement afterwards.

### Can SFEC be used with the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)?

Yes. PSG provides grant support for up to 50% of the qualifying cost first, and SFEC then supports up to 90% of whatever is left, capped at SG$7,000 for enterprise transformation.
