SleekFlow vs Wati: WhatsApp depth or channel breadth?
TL; DR: Quick Summary
- Both are official WhatsApp Business Solution Providers, so the underlying WhatsApp Business API is the same either way. What differs is everything built around it.
- Wati goes deep on one channel, with WhatsApp Business Calling, RCS, in-chat WhatsApp Flows, and Meta catalog sync, per its own published pages.
- SleekFlow lists a wider set of native channels, including Telegram, Viber, LINE, and WeChat, and Wati's own comparison page says so too.
- Neither company publishes a price you can plan against, so judge the model, not a number: what's included, what triggers an extra charge, and how clearly each one answers that before you sign.
- In our view, pick Wati if WhatsApp is effectively your only channel, and SleekFlow if customers reach you across several apps, but let a predictable AI bill and responsive support break the tie either way.

You need somewhere to run customer conversations, and the shortlist has come down to two: Wati or SleekFlow. Both connect you to the WhatsApp Business API. Both give your team a shared inbox, a contact record, broadcasts, and AI that can answer without a human. From the outside they look close enough that the decision stalls.
In practice a handful of questions decide it. Is WhatsApp the only place your customers message you, or one of several? Do you need to take a voice call inside the thread? Can you predict what the AI will cost you next quarter as volume grows? And when something breaks, do you know how long you'll wait for an answer?
Wati and SleekFlow answer those differently, and neither answer is wrong. Wati concentrates on WhatsApp and goes deeper into it than we do. We spread across more apps and put one customer record behind all of them.
One thing to clear up before the detail: both platforms are official WhatsApp Business Solution Providers (BSPs), the status Meta requires before a platform can give you a WhatsApp Business API account. Neither of us can offer you WhatsApp access the other can't.
Below: how we compare on channels and voice, AI and automation costs, and support and security, so you can see exactly where we match Wati and where we don't.
The short answer: Wati or SleekFlow?
In our view, Wati is the better fit when WhatsApp is effectively your only revenue channel and you want depth on it: voice calls inside the thread, in-chat forms, catalog sync, and an AI agent that also speaks.
SleekFlow is the better fit when customers already reach you on several apps and you need one customer record, one set of automations, and one AI across all of them.
Beyond channels, weigh how clearly each one charges for AI and automation, and how quickly support responds when something breaks. Both matter as much as the channel list.
Wati vs SleekFlow at a glance
Wati's details come from Wati's own published pages and help documentation, checked 31 Aug 2026. SleekFlow's details come from our pricing page, help center, FAQ, and trust center on the same date. Where something isn't published, the cell says so.
How they're different, feature by feature
Channels
Wati is a WhatsApp platform with neighbours built around it. It describes itself as an "AI-powered customer engagement platform" turning WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger into revenue. The channel list follows that centre of gravity: WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, SMS, RCS, TikTok, and website chat.
Two of those matter more than a channel count suggests. RCS gives you a carrier-grade fallback that plenty of WhatsApp-first platforms skip. Wati's documentation notes RCS drops to SMS automatically when it isn't available on both ends, and if you send one-time passcodes or payment confirmations, that path decides whether the message arrives.
Check whether you can actually use it, though. Per Wati's own RCS FAQ, US availability comes with conditions: a minimum of 100,000 messages a month, and brand approval by US carriers that isn't guaranteed. Sender registration takes 6 to 8 business days, its named carrier coverage is Indian, and reach depends on customers running Android 5.0 or later, or iOS 18.1 or later with RCS switched on. Wati recommends pairing RCS with WhatsApp rather than relying on it. So it's a genuine advantage at high volume in supported markets, and closer to unavailable for a mid-market team in Europe.
SleekFlow starts from a different premise. We're the AI suite for revenue-driving conversations, and the native list runs wider: WhatsApp, Instagram DM, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Viber, LINE, WeChat, TikTok Business Messaging, website live chat, and Outlook.
Wati's own comparison page puts the regional point better than we would: "If LINE, WeChat, or Viber are primary channels for your business, SleekFlow has broader native coverage there." That matters a great deal in Southeast Asia, Greater China, and parts of Europe, and not at all if your whole market is on WhatsApp.
Two qualifications on our side, because a raw channel count flatters us. Our SMS runs through a Twilio integration, works only with numbers bought on Twilio, isn't available in every country, and carries fees beyond your subscription. And WeChat is limited to one Service Account with a 48-hour reply window. Wati's SMS is native and sits alongside RCS.
Read the two lists together and the trade is visible. We cover more apps, particularly the regional ones, and our SMS depends on Twilio. Wati covers the carrier path with native SMS and RCS, subject to the RCS conditions above.
What this means for you: count last month's conversations by channel. If they're all WhatsApp, breadth is reach you'd pay for and never use.
Voice, and where we're genuinely behind
This is the clearest gap between the two products, so it's worth being exact about it.
Wati supports WhatsApp Business Calling. It lets a human agent make and receive voice calls inside the same WhatsApp thread the customer already messages in, with no separate line and no app switching. Separately, its Astra agent does two-way AI voice: it holds a spoken conversation and carries memory across chats and calls.
SleekFlow has neither today. VoIP calls appear on our product menu as coming soon. What's described there's AI summary, recording, and routing: assistance wrapped around a call a person is having, not an AI that picks up the phone and talks. Our AI agents work in text.
So if voice is a requirement now, Wati does something we don't, and no amount of channel breadth substitutes for it.
What this means for you: if you need voice on WhatsApp this quarter, that single fact decides the comparison, and it decides it for Wati.
AI agents
Wati's agent is Astra, and the pitch is autonomy over configuration. Describe the agent in plain language, then point it at your website, help centre, documents, CRM records, and transcripts. It qualifies, supports, and books across web, WhatsApp, voice, SMS, and RCS. Wati calls this "unified long-term memory across chats and calls."
Wati also lists voice cloning, one-click real-time translation, support for more than 30 languages, and an MCP server that lets you build and manage agents from Claude or ChatGPT. We don't have equivalents for those.
Wati's AI Copilot reaches its entry tier as well. Every plan carries a monthly allowance of AI co-pilot credits that rises with the tier, and more can be bought as an add-on.
AgentFlow takes the other bet. Our agents sit alongside Flow Builder, so you get an AI that reasons and a deterministic path you can inspect when the answer has to be the same every time. That's more setup, and it earns its cost when a wrong answer is expensive: immigration advice, insurance, high-value retail.
The Inbound Agent and Data Analyst Agent are live. The Copilot Agent and Outbound Agent are listed as coming soon, so check what has shipped before you plan around either.
On cost, AI agent responses carry no per-answer, per-resolution, or per-outcome charge on a paid SleekFlow plan, subject to our Fair Use Policy. That removes one line from the invoice, not all of them, since monthly active contacts still move with volume.
What this means for you: less ongoing upkeep points to Astra. More control over what the agent can say points to AgentFlow.
Automation and workflows
Both tools cap automation and publish the caps. But the two sets of numbers aren't measuring the same thing: Wati counts automation triggers, and we count flow enrollments. Read each against your own volumes rather than against each other.
Wati's published allowance runs 1,000 automation triggers a month on Growth, 2,000 on Pro, and 5,000 on Business. Its node ceiling is 200 per flow.
Ours is a monthly flow-enrollment allowance: 500 on Pro, 3,000 on Premium, 10,000 on Enterprise, with node ceilings of 25, 100, and 200 respectively. Buy an add-on when you pass the allowance, or switch on auto-scaling so the plan moves up a tier and flows keep running.
Our entry tier is the tighter of the two on nodes. If you build long branching flows on a Pro plan, you'll feel that before you feel anything else.
Flow Builder does reach past the chat window. A flow can start from:
A form submission
A CRM update
An API call
It can also write back out by webhook, so it acts on your other systems as well as the conversation.
What this means for you: ask both vendors for the allowance on the tier you'd actually buy, and check the node ceiling if your flows branch a lot. Ours is the tighter one at entry level.
Selling and commerce
Wati syncs natively with the Meta product catalog alongside Shopify and WooCommerce, which keeps what you sell on Instagram Shop and WhatsApp in step. It also runs in-chat WhatsApp Flows, so a booking or a qualification form happens inside the conversation. Per Wati's help documentation, the drag-and-drop Flows builder sits on its Pro and Business plans.
SleekFlow leans on closing in the thread and on knowing who you're talking to. Catalog and payment links let an agent, or a flow, take payment without pushing the customer out to a browser. One contact record carries the conversation, the source, and the order history, whichever app the customer used.
We support WhatsApp Flows too, but our own page says it's "available as a customized solution for enterprise plan customers." On a mid-tier plan, Wati's is the more accessible version of that feature, and that's a straightforward point for them.
What this means for you: if in-chat forms or Meta catalog sync matter to you below Enterprise, Wati gets you there and we don't.
Campaigns and analytics
Wati's strongest analytics story is paid social. Its Click-to-WhatsApp Ads reporting covers:
Spend, cost per click, and ROAS
Qualified leads and purchases, with cost per each
Conversion rate and average time to convert
All of it compared across Facebook, Google, and TikTok campaigns
If most of your pipeline arrives from WhatsApp ads, you get that attribution without building it.
Our reporting is built to work across channels: conversion tracking, contact source attribution, and dashboards showing which conversations turned into revenue regardless of where they started. Some of that depends on events you configure, which is more work than a prebuilt ad funnel. Our advanced dashboards also sit on higher tiers, the same way several of Wati's reporting features sit above its entry plan.
What this means for you: a pipeline fed mostly by WhatsApp ads gets more out of the box from Wati. A pipeline spread across channels gets more from us, with some setup.
Setup, support, and security
Support. Wati publishes its coverage by tier: 24x5 email support on Growth, 24x7 email and chat on Pro, and priority 24x7 with a dedicated customer success manager on Business. Publishing coverage windows at all is more than most platforms in this category do. It's a real reason to prefer them if a guaranteed response window is part of the decision.
We publish a per-tier support and onboarding table on our pricing page, covering support channels, dedicated onboarding, a customer success manager, and an SLA on the higher plans. We don't publish support hours anywhere. Wati does, so if coverage windows matter to you, ask us for ours in writing before you sign.
Security. Our trust center publishes a SOC 2 Type II attestation report, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, and GDPR compliance. Wati states ISO 27001 certification and GDPR compliance on its own site, and says a SOC 2 Type II audit is underway.
Its trust portal didn't load for us, so treat its certifications as Wati's own statement rather than something we confirmed.
What this means for you: get our support hours in writing before you sign, since we don't publish them, and ask both of us for current certificates rather than trusting a badge.
What each platform charges for
Neither company publishes a number you should plan a budget against. Wati's own pages and the roundups covering it disagree on its entry price, its seat price, and how many seats are included; our own surfaces have carried figures that don't match each other; and both of us price by market in more than one currency. So compare the model instead. It's stabler, and it's what decides your bill.
Wati charges for seats. Plans include a set number of users, the entry tier doesn't allow extra ones, and the per-additional-seat rate differs sharply between the higher tiers. AI co-pilot credits and automation triggers come as monthly allowances by plan, with add-ons available above them.
SleekFlow charges for monthly active contacts. A contact counts once you exchange messages with them in either direction through the Inbox, Flow Builder, an AI agent, WhatsApp, or the API in a billing month. Contacts you only store don't count, and broadcast recipients who never reply don't count. Seats are included by tier, with paid headcount add-ons.
Both put WhatsApp costs on top. Meta charges for template messages, and each provider bills those through with its own rate card and per-number hosting fees. This applies to every provider in the category, so it doesn't separate the two, but it does mean the platform fee is never the whole bill.
What this means for you: take the agent count you need and the customers you expect to talk to each month to both vendors, and ask for a written quote in your own currency. A tool that's cheaper at five agents and 2,000 contacts is often not the cheaper one at 15 agents and 20,000.
Which should you choose?
Start with the outcome you want this year, then the constraints, then the commercials.
If the goal is more revenue from WhatsApp specifically, and that's where your customers already are, Wati is the better buy. Voice calls in the thread, an AI agent that speaks, RCS as a fallback path, catalog sync with Meta, and prebuilt click-to-WhatsApp ad attribution are all things it does that we either don't do or place on Enterprise. Buying a broader platform to run one channel means paying for reach you won't use.
If customers reach you across several apps, and the problem is that they arrive as different people on each one, that's the case for SleekFlow. Wider native coverage of the regional apps, one record per customer behind every channel, AI responses with no per-answer or per-resolution charge under our Fair Use Policy, and closing in the thread with payment links.
If you're unsure which you are, use the 90% test. WhatsApp above roughly 90% of conversations in a stable market means depth wins. A second channel already in double digits means breadth is usually cheaper over a couple of years.
If a predictable bill or fast support matters more than either, compare how each one charges for AI and automation before you compare channels. An unclear AI bill or a slow support queue costs you regardless of which platform you're on.
On cost, decide last. Whichever way you lean, get both quotes at your expected volumes before signing anything.
SleekFlow vs Wati: the verdict
Wati is a good WhatsApp platform, and if that describes your business, buying it is the right answer. It also does three things we don't: WhatsApp voice calling, an AI agent that talks, and native SMS with RCS behind it where your market and volumes support RCS.
Our version of this decision is narrower. Your customers already message you in more than one place, and you don't want a second tool, a second copy of every customer, or an AI that only knows one channel.
The quickest way to test which you are is to check your channels against ours.
