SleekFlow SMS works seamlessly with all major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, as well as smaller regional carriers and MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators). Our partnership with Twilio ensures direct connections with carrier networks for reliable message delivery. However, like all SMS providers, messages are subject to each carrier's filtering and compliance requirements.
No, SMS and iMessage are different technologies. SleekFlow's SMS service sends standard SMS messages that are delivered to all phones through cellular networks, including iPhones. When you send an SMS through SleekFlow to an iPhone user, it appears in their Messages app as a regular SMS (green bubble), not as an iMessage (blue bubble). iMessage is Apple's proprietary messaging service that only works between Apple devices, while SMS works universally across all phone types and carriers.
SMS is the standard text messaging format, with a 160-character limit, while RCS (Rich Communication Services) supports rich media, longer messages, read receipts, and interactive elements such as carousel cards, suggested replies, and booking buttons. RCS provides enhanced messaging features similar to those found in apps like WhatsApp or Google Messages. For example, a restaurant could send an RCS message with photos of daily specials and a "Reserve Table" button. SleekFlow does not currently support RCS messaging.
